Homeland Security Checkpoint: Video Blog – Day 3

On January 20, 2008, I was seized for a third time at a Southern Arizona internal suspicionless homeland security checkpoint. This checkpoint has been in operation for at least two weeks at a location over 40 miles North of the Southern border along SR86 in Southern Arizona More information about this stop can be found at: checkpointusa.org

border patrol agents are the only agency you can call it like that or department
that is allowed to ask for your nationality and arrest illegal aliens

  2. Engineer245 says:

Took a lot of guts to do that. You need a live video and audeo feed going to to a recording site somewhere else so that if they did anything agreesive the evidence would be elsewhere and not only on your person or vehicle. They would just eliminate the recording in the camera as they always do when they take it to the next level. I am not sure the teflon coated cover over the place would allow an electric signal to get out though. This same, so called, solar cover is used at the Denver Airport !

  3. Engineer245 says:

Oh yeah – So if there is a massive emergency and you are attempting to go get food for your family to eat and a HLS Officer shoots you dead he is just doing his job. Okay, say that is true,,, then I say he should have taken a job that does not infringe upon our constitutional rights. And don’t give me the patriot act crap. The paraniod right wing idiots think everyone is out to get them. So, a little push back is a right !

  4. Engineer245 says:

@librarian5602 You are correct , Government is the problem not the fix !

  5. sepules4 says:

    unbelivable…

thank you for this video @CheckpointUSA

  6. munozk93 says:

LoL You are the best <3 @CheckpointUSA I should do this too xD

  7. 4209smoker says:

Unfortunately white people typically don’t get asked anything more than “Are you a US citizen?” – That’s what they ask my white mom.

When I go through the same place, the ask me that, then “who’s car is this, where are you going? where are you coming from?

If you are young and hispanic they will send you for an X-ray every time. They send me for an X-ray everytime.

  8. MrPfk19834 says:

Agents do not have a secret plan to harass citizens. They are doing their job to the best of their ability. If a checkpoint was created it was based on intel or due to a previous operation that showed a cause for concern. Grow up.

  12. Betoalonso25 says:

That’s the way to do it dude good job fuck them ass holes

  13. Marcus111147 says:

hey dude…. Why don’t you get a LIFE?

  14. CheckpointUSA says:

Hey dude, I have a life. Unfortunately armed Border Patrol agents who aren’t actually patrolling the border keep interfering with it Marcus111147. Thanks for caring though.

  15. sengoku17 says:

Please ignore the ignorant commentors, i bet they are the border patrol agents who sub to u

  16. BroomeBlocker4 says:

You were kind of in the wrong. The officer was right, you were veering closer the barrier. However once he decided to stop you so he could do a check, he shouldn’t of let you through, I found that more disturbing. The fact that he thought you were suspicious(rightly or wrongly so, but he thought you were suspicious) and let you through without checking you. If he is going to do that, no point him being there

  17. CheckpointUSA says:

Wrong on both counts BroomeBlocker4. I was neither veering towards the barrier in any way that presented a hazard to the agent nor did the agent have any legal option other than to let me go. After all, this isn’t some 3rd world tinpot dictatorship where gov’t agents can arbitrarily cherry pick people off public streets & indefinitely detain them in the absence of consent or probable cause.

At least it wasn’t before the passage of the NDAA….

  18. CapnCrossbones says:

Good on you sir , and good on the officer for having fair composure dealing with you. I think people like you are giving the government a good impression of how a lot of the public feels about those check stops. I also think that asking questions should never be wrong and authority should always answer concerns. Thanks for sharing this video sucks I just found it though…

  19. MrSlowestD16 says:

At what level do you stop ‘complying’, though? You comply once, they have at you again, give them an inch and they’ll take a mile.

  20. Huntington12345678 says:

… Such a good little sheep! There’s an extra biscuit in your soup, good little boy!

  21. MrBigcurt76 says:

you know it shocks me of the amount of flack you actually get from people… do they always want to be constantly harassed. Im 23 and ever since i was young i always thought it was funny that you needed an ID to prove who you are lol. and you have to hold that id at all times. Im a human being of planet earth doing nothing wrong and i can go and or say anything i want to !

  22. tseitz123 says:

fuck ALL of you boot licking tyrant wannabes. Exercise your RIGHTS or lose them!

  23. chuy69818 says:

So why do they hold the check point??? To catch illegals from crossing or what

  24. CheckpointUSA says:

Or what chuy69818. This checkpoint is no where near the border which means it does absolutely nothing to stop illegals from crossing. In fact it’s setup along an East-West highway that never intersects the border at any point.

Best place to catch/stop illegal border crossers is at the border. Too bad the Border Patrol hasn’t figured that out yet.

  25. NateTheGreatPilot says:

The reason these exist is to catch those who do sneak past the border. Yeah, it happens. Big freaking deal. If you’re looking for trouble at these checkpoints, you will find trouble. Simple as that.
